How to Validate a Document
Certificates issued by the Guatemala Maritime Administration are assigned a unique verification number, allowing port authorities, maritime organisations and other stakeholders to confirm their authenticity through the online verification portal.
To verify a document, open the verification portal and enter the certificate number exactly as it appears on the document. Each certificate also carries a QR code that can be scanned to open the verification system directly.
The original certificate must be kept on board at all times and presented on request to the competent authorities wherever the vessel is operating.
